I heart my Crock-pot!

I love, love, love my Crock-pot! It is a mommy's best appliance! And whenever I hear someone say they don't have one or never use it, I am shocked. This is coming from a person that uses a Crock-pot at least twice a month, but usually once a week. With 3 kiddos under 3, cooking dinner can be a nightmare. I have no idea why my kids think that when mommy is cooking equals a super good time to demand attention and have a meltdown(sss).

So I rely on my lovely Crockpot- to make dinner for me. It's wonderful, I can do the "cooking" during nap time when I have the kitchen to myself. Come 6pm, dinner is done and I didn't have to stand at the stove with one kid on my hip. And I am such a cheater that I always double my recipe and freeze the other half for later. That meal is reserved for a really bad day when I'm too tired to cook. Which I hate to admit happens more often than I like to admit.

So tonight we are trying a new recipe Mexican Beef Stew and it smells delicious!!! I wish it was ready to eat now. That is the only downside to the Crock-pot method of cooking, you can smell your dinner all day!

  1. Oh my gosh, I totally agree! I love my crock pot, but I hate smelling it all day... especially on those days that are so crazy I don't have time to eat lunch. We should swap some recipes!

  2. I seriously need a new crockpot. Ours has been broken for months. And I could really use some more recipes too...wink, wink, nudge, nudge. :)
