My First Blog

I decided to take the plunge and join the world of blogging. I am a stay at home mom of three kids under three. Isabella is 2 and Mark and Molly (M&M) just turned one on Thanksgiving. This last year has been so crazy and I'm living on the lie that the first year with twins is the hardest. Today was a hectic day due to my obsession with making scrapbook calendars. I love the finished product, but the process is very frustrating. It takes forever for me to build the pages and once I get to December I find that I don't like the first half of the year and end up redoing 5 months.

Added to my scrapbook making stress, Isabella had speech today. A little background on my two year old, she has weird speech patterns. For example she drops s sounds at the beginning of words. And l sounds like wow and she adds a t sound for words that end in n. Now imagine what happened today in Vons when she asked for lotion. That's right wowshi*! "Mommy I need wowshi* I need wowshi* Mommy!" I got some good looks from the customers over this one.

Now after speech Isabella decided to fall asleep in the car on the way home. This would be normal kid stuff, except my child never sleeps in the car. Never! Even on a 7 hour drive to California! (Can you hear the irritation?) Well she fell asleep in the car and I decided to meet Brett at Albertsons so she could sleep a little longer. And I figured that I could take home the twins since it is so much easier to put their car seats in my car than Brett's truck. Isabella didn't even twitch while we loaded the car seats and I drove home. When I woke her up she looked at the twins and asked "how did they get here?" She looked so confused and this is the memory that will keep me going as I continue to work on my calendars.

  1. WOW! You're a newbie! Welcome to the blogging world. You're gonna love it here!

Thanks for the comment on my post...I thought I should return the favour. Your kiddos are adorable by the way and I love all their names. Mark and Molly are the cutest twin names ever (in my opinion).

  2. I think it's great that you found me- my birthday often falls on Thanksgiving & my mom went into labor with me during Thanksgiving dinner- so I always feel a connection to those with a similar story.
