Mark's Progress

There are days that I want to cry when I'm doing Mark's therapy. On these days he's uncooperative and cries very easily. It makes me cry because I know I have to do it, but I hate seeing him struggle.

Today he had physical therapy, and I was a little nervous because it was during his nap time. But after bribing him with some m&ms, he started transferring from chair to chair like a little champ. And I am happy to report that he is still on track with his gross motor skills for a 11 1/2 month old. (His age is adjusted back 10 weeks for his prematurity.) Whoo hooo! That's two months in a row that I got this great news! For a kiddo that has been delayed since well birth, this is awesome news for me.

So while it takes a tough Mommy to do the therapy, I'm glad a have the stomach for it. (Notice I said Mommy? Yeah Daddy isn't tough enough to endure the struggle.) I can see how much his hard work is paying off. And I hate to break the news to him, but I will never give up on him, so do your mommy favor and quit fighting it!

  1. Hey there, found you on the blog hop...look forward to reading more of your blog!

  2. I think if you bribed me with m&m's, especially peanut ones, I'd gladly have therapy!! Perhaps your hands are more gentle than daddy's, it's usually the case.

Have a great day, CJ xx
