Question of the week

What kinds of food do your children eat that surprises you?
My twins are great eaters at 14 months! They have never been picky and will eat anything I put on their trays. Ahhh heavenly!! Their big sister Isabella was the same way until she was 15 months when she began a meat boycott that is still going on at almost 3. Now she'll eat a chicken nugget like any kid, just not any other form of chicken. Oh and they have to be Tyson chicken nuggets or she will refuse to eat them. Isabella will eat any vegetable or fruit. Seriously, this is the weirdest kid on the planet!

But one weird thing that all my kids eat are jalapeno potato chips and chips and salsa. Now my husband and I love spicy food, but we just assumed that kids didn't like spicy food. Nope, before they were one all three of my kids ate chips and salsa. (Duh mom and dad in most of the world kids eat spicy food)

Another thing that is weird that my kids eat is sushi. Now it's only weird to me because I can't believe the kid that wont eat a piece of fried chicken will eat a spicy tuna roll. To the rest of my family, they think this is weird and we've heard from more than one person that they're afraid they'll get sick. Get over it! What do you think kids in Japan eat? The family that owns the sushi restaurant we go to get a huge kick out of our kids. They told us when Isabella was 1 that we were the only white people that fed their baby sushi. Well, what can I say? You just have to start them young!
