Question of the Week

Before I had kids I would have said that reading was my biggest hobby. Now I squeeze it in when I have the chance. I used to read a book in a day or two, now it takes much longer. But there are many nights when I'm so into a book that I look at the clock and realize that it's 2am. In fact, my husband loves to tease me by calling me a bookworm.

So needless to say that a former teacher and a major book lover reads to her kids everyday. It's part of our naptime and bedtime routines and Isabella will randomly bring me books to read to her. Here are some of my favorite books to read to my kiddos.

I love You Stinky Face by Lisa McCourt is really funny book. It's about a little boy that wants to make sure his mommy will love him no matter what he was/did. My kids ask for this book a few times a week and yes I have it memorized, and so does Isabella.

Someday by Alison McGhee is a sweet story. It's about a mom that is thinking about all the things her daughter will do someday. I don't know why, but this book chokes me up. I guess I really am a sap.

I love pretty much all Dr. Seuss books. But One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish is one of my favorites. I love how silly the book is and the rhymes are pretty funny too.
