Angels and Date Night

Yesterday I began to write about our vacation to California. The sole reason for the timing of this vacation was for the Angels' home opener. We've gone every year for the last 5 years. It's a fun tradition for us and definitely a kid free night. In case you've never been to the home opener of baseball, you're missing out on a great party! Which is why it's a kid free night. BTW we learned this the hard way when we took 6 week old Isabella with us 3 years ago.

So needless to say we had the best date night last Friday at the game! We went with our friends Ray and Kristen who live in California and we don't get to see as often as we would like to. And of course we met in the parking lot to tailgate before the game. (What you thought we would pay $9 for all our beer?) The only downside was the freezing cold weather. We watched the game under blankets and we were still cold.

Ready to ditch our kids for the game!

Even though the Angels lost, we still had a great time! I love going to baseball games! On a side not a few years ago before any of us had kids, we would go out after the game. Fast forward 3 years, and it's not even a thought in our heads.

We took our family to the game the next night and the weather was much better. I'll write about that experience when I get the pictures!

  1. Hi, I'm visiting from the Tuesday blog hop. Sounds like you had a good time at the baseball game.

  2. That is a really beautiful picture of you!

  3. Love the picture of you. Your hair is so long. Hope all is well.

  4. I used to go to the Angel games all the time! I lived about 10 minutes from Angel Stadium. It is a lot of fun and I totally agree with you about NOT paying $9 for beer! I remember one time, I had to pay $4 just to get cheese for my pretzel! Insane!

I wanted to also thank you for your comment on my blog. I really appreciate your prayers right now!
