Weird Kid Behavior

My kids do some of the weirdest things sometimes. I think it must be in the kid handbook somewhere that they have to do some head scratching weird things to throw their parents off balance.

Yesterday Isabella decided that was going to take a shower with me. I thought this was a little weird since she hates having water run over her head. Then she announced that she needs her bathing suit and disappears from the bathroom. Two minutes later she was in my bathroom wearing her bathing suit and ready to play. For the rest of the day, she didn't take off her bathing suit. (And she didn't take a shower with me in case you were wondering.)

Yes even when we went outside to play. Her newest thing is to find sticks, super annoying!

One thing I've learned as a mom is to pick your battles. My thoughts on wanting to wear your bathing suit all day? Go right ahead, I don't care. I'm just going to take a picture of her silly outfits and phases so when she is a teenager one day, I can show her what she wore as a child. That way when she says "Mooommmm you're not going to really wear that are you?" I can show her the crazy things she used to wear.

  1. What a great idea! I'm following you now via GFC. I hope you'll swing by my little home!

  2. Thank you! I am constantly telling hubby that I pick my battles with the peapod, and he acts like I am the crazy one.

  3. I am worn out. My husband has this whole week off and even though he is nice taking one of the kids out and making dinner, it is like having a third child except that this one complains about the house being a mess all the time. I am so going to quit picking up after the kids before he gets home from work.
I have a hard time picking my battles with the kids while he is around too, but normally I do.
I love how you are planning on using the pictures agains her later. It might be sooner than you think though. My soon to be seven year old is already starting to comment on my dressing. Oh well.

  4. So cute! The weird stuff our kids do always makes me laugh. :)
