Friday Confessional

Photobucket

I confess....
I took Isabella to Target today to get her birthday picture taken. I'm feeling a little guilty about the fact that I took her picture two and a half months late. And she refused to smile and was being a little stinker and I almost left in the middle of the photo session. But I knew it would be weeks before I made it back there and I picked the best photo of the bunch.

I confess....
The fact that she wasn't super cute saved me a lot of money and that makes me kinda OK with her behavior.

I confess....
I am craving a Frappuccino right now, and they will be half off in 1 hour. I think Brett needs to bring me one.

Starbucks Happy Hour, May 6-15, 3-5 p.m.

I confess....
I bought the kids Chocolate Cheerios from Costco solely because there was  a coupon for them. The kids love them and this morning Isabella was trying to feed me one. I told her they were yucky and she looked at me like I was crazy. She just can't figure out why Mommy doesn't like chocolate and it cracked me up! The kid was so confused.

I confess....
I'm really suprised that my giveaway for the Skin MD has such low entries. The stuff is really great and hello, it's free. Very weird to me. If you'd like to enter there is still plenty of time and you can enter here.
I confess....
I watched a little boy this week that pointed out a bad mom moment to me. Isabella was eating food off the floor and I heard him yell "no Isabella you don't eat off the floor!" Oops, what can I say? I let my kids eat off the floor all the time from time to time.

I confess....
Later I got a good mom moment. As he was leaving he said he was getting a Happy Meal to which Isabella asked "what's a Happy Meal?" Well I must be doing something right if she doesn't know what a Happy Meal is, right?

I confess....
Molly is lucky her Mommy loves her. On Wednesday she stole my mouse. That kids swipes everything she can get her sticky little hand on! I looked for said mouse for 45 minutes before I found a broken mouse. Today she threw my brand spankin' new mouse in the toilet!!! Take a deep breath Allison, it'll be date night time soon.

I confess....
I feel like only my kids do these crazy things. Is it possible that only my kids get the sprinkles out and coat their feet with them? (this was on dad's watch for once) Or hide shoes in the house so you have to hunt for 20 minutes for a shoe so you can go to Costco? Or is everyone else lying about their kids never getting into trouble??? I've decided you're all liars, it makes me feel better about myself.

  1. My daughter, I found out, enjoys washing her hands in the toilet :s
Ok, that was a lame attempt at making you feel better..., but she actually did it for quite some time I believe before I caught her doing it and managed to prevent her from doing so ever again.

  2. *Laughing* Such a cute post! Don't worry, this too shall pass. My son used to hide everything, color the couch with permanent marker, and he definitely knew what a happy meal was!

My daughter once colored her entire body with marker while I was in the shower. That was lovely! I also came home to find her with a whole box of bandaids balled up and the cough syrup sitting right next to her. She looked like a drunk on skid row! (this all on her dad's watch, and no she did not drink the cough syrup)!

Hope this all makes you feel a little better.

Oh, by the way, I am a new follower from the Makobi weekend hop!

  3. Oh that is funny! It may not seem like it, but you're going to miss this one day. Before you know it your babies will be grown and you will think of these memories again.

  4. It's a good thing their Mama loves Ben and Emma! They rest my limits every single moment of the day!

I turn my back when I notice them eating off the floor. If I didn't see it, it didn't happen!

Love your Friday confessionals. Like you, OI believe alot of Mama's are lying!!

  5. I relate to so many of your post . My kids knocked down a box of cheerios the other day and instead of sweeping it up I just let them eat it. They also hid my husbands shoe and we looked for it and couldn't find it and I jokingly showed Gabe the other shoe and asked where it was and went in the laundry room and lifted some clothes that were in a laundry basket and there it was.

  7. Wooosaaaa is my word lol.. It's from Bad Boys II. It helps relax you when you have all those crazy days happen. I can defnitely say I have never had kids do the sprinkle thing, but trust me we had our share of crayons on the wall, and cereal in the toilet.

  9. My kids get in trouble all the time. Yesterday, Ky hid my phone charger...and said a monster took it. That was definitely a mommy time out moment.

  11. Eating off the floor? Pshaw! If my daughter can get to it before the dogs, she is more than welcome!!!

  12. My twins are forever after my mouse! And they eat a lot of food from the floor, which I would feel better about if I washed it more often.

  13. I don't remember if I told you this before or not (I posted this somewhere) but my daughter eats onions off the floor. It's kind of gross but at least she's getting her veggies?
