Friday Confessions

Photobucket

I confess.... Brett working nights is killing me. We only see him at dinner, so I'm going everything around this joint. And all I can say is he owes me BIG time. (Love you honey!)

I confess...
Mark is 18 months old and he still spits up a lot. I think it's disgusting. I don't care that I'm his mom, cleaning up his puke is gross. When will this stop?

I confess....
Last night was LVMOMs annual MoMs night out and I had to miss it. (Want to guess why?) I was so bummed and it put me in a funk all night, and I felt really sorry for myself.

I confess....
My twins push my buttons furniture around the room. It drives me crazy! At any given moment they are trying to push the coffee table, the toy box, trashcans, and bar stools around. I'm so glad we have 5 push toys so they have something to move around.

I confess....
I laugh my butt off when I hear MoMs talk about how the color code their kids cups, spoons, etc. so they don't mix them up. Why? They just swap them on their own. To my dismay, my twins even swap their toothbrush when I'm not looking.  Besides, they put the toys in their mouth and then share so they are swapping spit anyway you look at it. It seems like a giant waste of time to me.

I confess....
I ran out of coffee filters yesterday and I couldn't make coffee. My whole morning was off and I was dragging so I got a Starbucks. It's official, I'm an addict.

I confess....
Yesterday I put soap in the bath water as "bubble bath" and only washed my kids hair and faces. And I really think they got clean enough. I was way too tired to do a full bath and watching them splash sounded like more fun than washing kiddos. (Are you judging me? I don't care, if it really bothers you, you're more than welcome to come over and bath my kids. No really, I could use the adult company and the break.)

I confess....
Mark loves this toy train that we gave him over a year ago. When you run it across the floor the little beads make noise. Cute baby toy right? Wrong! He crawls around with it in his hand. It's kinda loud and it's getting on my nerves. So last night I put it on the top shelf on the closet. Problem solved.

I confess....
Brett and I are going our first week without a date night in 18 months and I'm not impressed that we made it this long without skipping it. I'm ticked that we aren't getting one this week. Light at the end of the tunnel, nights will be over soon.

I confess....
I keep reading blogs and FB posts about all the wonderful plans people have for the weekend. I hate them a little. Since Brett is working from 6:30pm to 7:30am all weekend we are doing.......nada.

  1. Sounds like a rough week. Hang in there :) I have to say your "I confess" posts are my guilty pleasure . Mine aren't that little any more, but can definitely relate to kids pushing buttons. Ashley

  2. We haven't had a date night in months and it sucks! We are also doing nothing this weekend as sweet hubby works 7:00 to 5:00 Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I yearn for the days when we can actually have family outings and it's not just me dragging my 18 month old twins everywhere. My confession this week? I love my kiddo's but I so wish they had come one at a time! I'm so tired!!!

  3. O.k.
1- I totally missed you at moms night out too!
2- we don't color code anything either. Even the girls' comfort bears that they NEED to fall asleep get mixed up at least everyday.
3- The bath thing? I do that about 1/2 the time. Seriously.
4- Our biggest plan for this weekend is that Russell MIGHT have time to install our microwave and dishwasher.

  4. in a pinch, you can use a paper towel for a missing coffee filter...for the future when you're already over the edge!!

  5. I don't separate stuff either! I hear about twin mom's doing it & think it sounds crazy. We just have 4 shoes, not 2 pair;)

Thanks for stopping by Twinisms. Your blog is super cute, love the monkey's!

  6. Oh Allison, I'm sorry to hear your husband is still working nights! I wish you lived closer we could get the kids together and let them wear themselves out in the backyard while we have an adult chat! ((Hugs))
