One Great Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day! It was everything that I asked for and more. My day started with my little Belly waking me up and Brett handing me some coffee. Ahhhh coffee is a great way to get me out of bed. Especially since it had creme brulee cream in it. Brett made me bacon waffles and fruit salad for breakfast. Yes the bacon was in the waffles, and they were delicious!

Brett got me flowers, a card, and a gift certificate for a pedicure. The kids got me a card and a mystery present. Now he kept saying that I couldn't open my present, which I thought was really mean. But when I saw what my present was I totally understood.

What little stinkers my kids are for picture taking.

Our best self-timer family photo yet.

Now I feel a little guilty that the first thing I said about the shirts was "ahhhh" quickly followed by, "you spelled it wrong." I just love those shirts! This gesture is very unBrett like. As in it took planning and thinking outside the box. (Sorry babe, but you know it's true.) Do you think I can get away with them wearing their Mother's Day shirts again??????

After torturing my family with a group photo we went to church. All the ladies loved their shirts too. I got a sunflower that was broken the second Isabella saw it. But then she got the flower part and Molly got the stem and everyone except mom was happy as all was not lost. After church we went to lunch at Casa Don Juan, our favorite Mexican Restaurant.
They gave the kids maracas to play with while we waiting for our food.

Yummy nachos!

They gave the kids lollipops, but I refused to open them for the twins. Too messy for this momma!

After lunch we went home for the kids naps and I read and drank a Starbucks. It was so nice and relaxing. When the kiddos woke up we went to my mom's house for wine and stuffed jalapeno popper dip. The kids oddly enough liked the jalapeno popper dip, I thought it would be too spicy for them. Later we went out for pizza.

It was such a nice day. My kids had some meltdowns along the way, but it was still nice. Added bonus I didn't change a single diaper and I only took Isabella to the potty once. SCORE!!!!
