My Review

Cascade thinks I put in my dishes without pre-washing and everything will come out clean? Yeah, we’ll see about that! Now I should tell you that I normally rinse all my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. I unload my dishes in the morning while the kids eat breakfast so I can just add our dishes throughout the day. (Am I the only one that hates a sink full of dishes?) So of course I rinse the dishes first, otherwise they will sit all day and get crusty and the food will not come off. But if you claim that I can skip this step, I’ll try it.

My first load – OK fine, I’ll admit it, I pre-washed the lunch dishes. I just couldn’t handle the thought of peanut butter hardening on the plates all day. I’ll try to be stronger tomorrow.

My second load – Today I decided to really test it out and not rinse any of my dishes. This was pretty easy since there really wasn’t anything stuck on my plates from breakfast and lunch. After doing the dinner dishes my husband commented on how much faster clean up went without the pre rinsing. Hmmm maybe Cascade is on to something?

My third and final load – Hubs said that I really need to test the whole no rinsing claim out. OK fine. So for breakfast my kids had waffles with syrup and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch. We topped off our messy plate experiment with spaghetti for dinner. Can I just say that it was really hard for me not to rinse those dishes? Dang my Type A personality!

The Verdict

Well I’ll admit when I’m wrong. (It’s fairly easy to do since it doesn’t happen very often J) The Cascade packs got everything clean. Not only were my dishes clean, but they didn’t have any film or spotting on them. And since my dishwasher opens the second container for dish soap only when it wants to, I’m guaranteed to have the right amount of soap every time. I love that I don’t have to rinse my dishes anymore! Think about all the time that will save me! Thanks Crystal, you’ve converted me. Oh and my husband is happy about making the switch, even though we previously used the Kirkland brand which is cheaper. But he says he would rather spend a little more money than spend more time doing dishes. (Yep readers, he does the dinner dishes and I love him for it!)
