Friday Confessional

Photobucket

I confess....
We went to a birthday party this morning and I was really sad that Brett couldn't stay the whole time. I really like to have a second pairs of hands at birthday parties. The cake was served at my kids normal lunch time. All three kids had giant pieces of cake. Originally I was going to have M&M share a piece, but they were crying for more, so I wimped out gave in and fed them another piece.
I love that they wore the hats!

When did my kids get big enough to sit at the table????

I confess....
My kids shared a big bag of candy today on the way home from the birthday party. Isabella was nice enough to share with M&M which is a good thing since they were hungry and crying. When we got home, I tired not to look at the pile of Tootsie Roll wrappers.

Did you notice the difference in candy from bag 1 to bag 2?

I confess....
The thought of moving is sad and exciting at the same time. How is that possible?

I confess....
These pictures crack me up! We are trying to get Isabella to stop having accidents when she sleeps, hence the mattress on the floor instead of in the crib. It's not really kinda working. She didn't fall asleep until about 30 minutes before nap ended and of course this is what I find.

Why sleep on the mattress when you could use it as a pillow?

I confess....
Mark is getting braver these days. He headed down the slide all by himself for the first time this week. Right into Molly. And my confession is that I let it happen instead of stopping him. They were fine after a few pushes and shoves.

I confess....
I laugh when parents get on their high horse about lying to their kids. I can't tell you how many times I've heard a parent say they are going to be 100% honest with their kids all the time. Really? That's pretty easy to say harder in reality. For example, are you going to tell the 100% truth about where babies come from when your 3 year old asks you? I doubt it! You are going to lie, so get off your high horse. (If you are planning on telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, please call me so I can watch you horrify your kids.)
I confess....
I bet I pissed off half the people by my last confession and made the other half laugh.

I confess....
I don't care if it pissed you off.

  4. Haha! I laughed!! GORGEOUS photos of the kids sitting at the table! So adorable! And Isabella asleep on the floor - OMG I can't tell you how many times I found Roo that way when she mmoved into a big bed (we kept the cot mattress under her big bed and she would climb in under her bed and rest her head on her cot mattress! Almost a year later and she doesn't get out of bed anymore!

  5. Came by from the blog hop and noticed I was already following your blog thru GFC but today I followed you on Facebook. More than likely you are following my blog also but like me, not on Facebook which is where I really need my numbers to get up for the chance to get nice products to review. That is what is holding me back. They like you to have higher FB numbers for some odd reason. The reviews are done on your blog but you gotta do what they say. I love the background (pink is one of my favorite colors). I know this weekend will be busy so come over when you have some free time, no big rush. Thanks and have a wonderful weekend.
