Friday Confessional

Photobucket

Here are my confessions for the week.
I confess....
My twins are melting my heart on car trips in Daddy's car. In my car Isabella sits in the middle seat, in Daddy's car Mark sits in the middle. Here is what they do when they are sitting next to each other in the car.

They are melting my heart being so sweet. They hold hands while we are driving and giggle at each other. I wish I could keep Mark in the middle in my car, but the car seats wouldn't fit.

I confess....
Calling companies and getting my bills dropped down is a painful but fulfilling process. I am amazed at how much money we were spending on TV, phone, etc.

I confess....
I've dropped our monthly bills by almost $400 and I'm not finished yet. I think the lesson here is that when Brett does get a job, we can keep our bills the same and continue to spend less money each month.

I confess....
Sometimes it feels like the hits just keep on coming. I had to take my car into the shop because 3 lights turned on and one said it means to take it to the dealership immediately. Just what we need! And did I mention that my warranty is out? FANTASTIC!

I confess....
When they said it would only be $85, I cried with relief. I thought for sure it was going to be a huge bill when the service tech said it was something wrong with the transmission.

I confess....
I was excited that they washed my car until I paid my bill and realized that it was like getting an $85 car wash. Excitement gone.

I confess....
Seeing my daughter mimic me cracks me up sometimes, and other times it makes me cringe. In the picture below is the kids' bathroom. I normally move the red sink stool and sit on it while she goes potty. And I tell her "I'm so proud of you" when she goes most of the time. I'm trying to encourage her to continue this great potty training success.

But this week I took her potty and she said that mommy could go first. OK fine. And what does she do? She gets the red stool out and sits on it. When I started to pee she said "I'm so proud of you" in my exact tone! I almost fell off the toilet laughing.

I confess....
I went to Albertsons this morning to pick up some cheese and get a Starbucks by myself!!! I might have taken my sweet time and wandered up and down the each row even though I only needed two things. And then I might have taken the long way home just to prolong my trip. And I timed it perfectly because it was nap time when I returned.

  2. Your kids are soooo cute! I love that they hold hands. BRAVO!!! on tackling that budget and saving serious $$$$ and on your plans to continue the savings. Sorry about your car and your $85.00 car wash but hey it could have been a lot worse. :) I am sure you will be proud as a pickle if your daughter turns out to be "just like you!" and while I don't know you too well, yet, from what I DO KNOW...you should be proud! And good for you for taking the "long way around" & some "YOU TIME" today while picking up cheese! You go girl!

    :)
