Summer Blog Tour - Timeshare Rental Membership Giveaway

Sponsored by Tomoson.com

Hello everyone! I am please to introduce the Summer Blog Tour 2011! The Summer Blog Tour is a group of blogs teaming together to provide a “tour” of giveaways to their readers (you) must like a giveaway train. I have teamed up with a bunch of blogs to bring you guys some seriously awesome summer themed giveaways!

I was given the opportunity to review a website for renting timeshares. The company's website is redweek.com. Now I was intrigued since I've always heard that buying timeshares wasn't a great deal. And I'll be honest, I've never looked into to it or considered owning a timeshare. And I've also never considered renting a time share for a family vacation. So I was interested in learning if timeshare rentals would be a good deal for my family.

What is RedWeek.com?
At RedWeek.com, timeshare owners post their units for rent or sale to an audience of over 1.5 million registered users, or exchange it using Dial An Exchange (DAE). Travelers come to RedWeek.com to rent or buy timeshares units directly from the owner, often at tremendous savings compared with hotels or dealing with the resort itself.

My Review
First, I would like to tell you about a family vacation to Denver we took when Isabella was 8 months old. When we arrived at our hotel, we were super excited that the bathroom was big enough to fit her crib. Which meant that we could talk above a whisper once she went to sleep. However, our room was right by the elevator and the drunks getting off said elevator woke her up all night long. Needless to say, we were all miserable by morning. So were the people sharing a wall with us!

So the next day we asked for a new room far away from the elevator. And we got one. However the bathroom was super duper tiny and now her crib was in our room. Now we had to sit in the bathroom (picture me sitting on the toilet and Brett on the side of the tub) just to talk to each other after she went to bed. It sucked! We learned that from now on we need two rooms. And that was when we had one kid, it's really necessary now that we have three.

There is just one problem with having two rooms, it's super expensive! We're talking at least $200 a night and that's if we are lucky and not picky. Um yeah we are a one income family, that's not going to happen.

So I checked out redweek.com and I was so excited to see that I can rent a timeshare for less than the price of one hotel room! So not only am I getting two+ rooms, but I'm getting it cheaper? That's pretty awesome! So I decided to look into a vacation that we would like to take. Have you heard of a little place called San Diego? Just in case you haven't they have perfect weather, tons of kids attractions, perfect weather, the beach, perfect weather, and great restaurants.

So what did I find???????

FABULOUS SAN DIEGO CONDO ON THE SAND. TWO BEDROOMS, TWO BATHS, TWO BALCONIES OVERLOOKING THE BEACH, 3 TV'S, VCRS AND DVDS, FULL KITCHEN, 15 MINUTES TO SEA WORLD AND THE AIRPORT, COVERED PARKING, OUT THE DOOR TO THE SAND. THE ZOO, OLD TOWN, THE STADIUM, 15 MINUTES

Now what could this cost? Depending on the season, $100 a night!!!! How great is that deal? And by season that price includes Spring Break season. So don't think it's only during the Winter. I cannot believe what a great deal this is! Think about the money you can save by cooking just a few of your meals. Plus the pools are resort style pools so you will have a great time just hanging out at your timeshare rental. Not to mention the fact that you don't have to whisper (or try to get romantic) in the bathroom.

The Verdict
OK I'm sold this is a great site to plan your next vacation. No need to buy (though you can if you want to) you can just rent! They have great deals for many different cities on their site. Would you like to go to Cabo? No problem, they have timeshares to rent there. No, you would rather go to Australia or Hawaii? No problem once again! redweek.com has timeshares across the globe for you to visit! And you deal with the owner directly which is a great bonus!

Buy It!
You can buy a membership to their site so you can find the vacation spot of your dreams! Visit redweek.com to start your membership.

  9. This would be wonderful because I own a Timeshare and we were talking that next year we would like to trade with someone each year now that we have stayed at our own for the past six years. Thought it would be a great way to travel a bit and save money. Thanks for Sharing this with all your readers~!

  36. You must have a good timeshare resale company to represent you to get the most out of atimeshare. If your interested in timeshare resale , be sure to check out http://intnltimesharenetwork.com

  37. I would never buy a timeshare. There are way to many timeshare relief scams out there. But I would rent one for a week or 2. I don't want to be obligated to a timeshare for a few years.

  38. mackenzie, http://www.donatetimeshares.com is Timeshare Relief Inc. They are the best company to help you get rid of your Timeshare. They really do help you get rid of it. They helped my sister and her husbend get rid of their Timeshare in Florida.

  39. Nice this blog. i like it.
Owning a timeshare vacation property for holiday and vacation use makes a lot of sense. If you love taking your holidays at prime vacation and resort destinations like timeshare rentals or rent timeshare, you will often have better accommodations at a lower price with buy timeshare ownership.
