So when I was offered the opportunity to try out Group Story I was excited to see if I liked their website better. Also I had a major problem with the last photo book that I made and the company refused to fix the problem, so I knew that I would never use that company again. And quite frankly, I was looking for a new company to use anyway.
Product Description
Here is how the company describes themselves. - How many people were in the last photo book you created? You probably had pictures of them, but did you have their story, their thoughts, their memories? And if you've never made a photo book, you've seen one - your high school yearbook. There might have been 1100 people in your school, but the yearbook didn't tell the story of your year with your friends. It told the Principal's story.Group Story is out to change the way we remember people and events in a photo book. Anyone can start a group by inviting people. It could be teammates, family members, friends on vacation, pre school parents, etc. Everyone can upload pictures to this private, shared area. Group members have access to all the photos and use them to build pages from templates. Just like the photos, the pages are shared among the group. Each group member can pick and choose from anyone's story (pages) to create their own customized book.
What I Think Makes Group Story Unique
Unlike other photo book sites, Group Story allows you to make your photo books with other people. You can create a book and invite friends to contribute to it. So now you can make books, without having to do all the work yourself. Plus, when you add your pictures you can tag them so you can find pictures of individuals much easier.
My Opinion
I really liked using Group Story. It was a very user friendly web-site and building the pages was very easy. I sent the link to some members of my family that are not exactly computer geniuses and they were able to make pages very easily. You can make your book using 4 easy steps.
- Upload your pictures and tag them.
- Choose the page layout.
- Choose a background page.
- Drop in photos and add text.
The front cover
I liked these pictures so much, I decided to use them as a whole page.
As you can see, there are different backgrounds and layouts. Since I was making a book about the Angels, I was only choosing red pages. But when you check out the website, you'll see that there are backgrounds in all different colors.
Buy It!
Group Story has a national deal on Family Finds. The deal: $17 for an 8 x 8 hardcover book, shipping included. This deal is good through Friday July 8th. Here's the link. http://www.familyfinds.com/
