Storytime at Potterybarn

The best benefit of having Isabella in preschool is getting to do fun things with the twins. We can do things easier as a trio than as a quad. I've always wanted to go to storytime at Potterybarn, but the thought of having three little kiddos in a store full of breakables has stopped me. But today I had only two kiddos in a store full of breakables, one for each hand. Now that sounds manageable doesn't it?

And today was a great day to go for the first time since they had a special event, storytime with Curious George! Now I knew this was going to go one of two ways with the monkey, bad or worse.

Mark is the boy in blue plaid clutching the stranger as to stay away from the monkey.

Have you ever had the fearful moment when you realized that your kid is missing?
This is what he decided to do instead of being near George.
Thanks for the panic attack kid.
Molly just had to join in on the fun!

After the excitement over George was over, they started storytime. Molly sat on her chair like a big girl, but Mark needed to sit in Mommy's lap. He had a tough time sitting on his bottom, I didn't know that chairs should be for standing. My M&Ms had a good time clapping to the songs and they listened to the story very well. All those months of doing circle time at home has paid off, they can pay attention for 20 minutes! Score one for mommy. After storytime there was another picture opportunity with George.

Now I wonder what Mark thinks of George?

I decided not to subject Molly to George and this is as close as she was willing to get.

Man it was so much easier trying to do storytime with just two kids! We went to storytime at the library when the babies were-well babies. It was a nightmare and I considered it torture quit going. There is something so much easier about having one kid per hand.
