Should I Kill the Grinch?

Should I kill the Grinch or should I just put up with him? It really is the million dollar question in my house right now.

He looks innocent doesn't he? But don't be fooled-this toy is pure evil in the hands of my little Molly. Do you see the little play button on its left hand? The one that turns the Grinch on and makes him dance and sing? That button is the bane of my existence!
And this is why.....

I'm so sick of this song playing over and over again. And it wouldn't be so bad if she didn't hit the button over and over and over again. I'm so glad that I got sick of hitting the button so I taught her how to do it. What was I thinking? And since I don't have the heart to take it away from her, I did this instead.

Yep, I put ole Grinchy in timeout. For now he is quiet and Molly is leaving him alone. We'll see if I cave and take out the batteries for a few days for long term peace and quiet.

  1. If your daughter is old enough to tell that the batteries are missing completely you can always just turn one or both of them around and say it's broken. I haven't tried this as a parent "yet" but my mom used this trick. At least it bought her some peace which I totally get now.
