Friday Confessional 1/27/12

I confess....
I'm not cooking the best dinners this week. With Brett on swing shift, it's hard getting dinner on the table with three kids trying to climb all over me.

I confess....
I did make some yummy chicken taco soup thanks to my Crock-Pot last night. I love cooking without really having to cook.

I confess....
On Wednesday we went to open gym at Gymboree since the kids were driving me nuts and we needed to get out of the house. We stayed until 6, our normal dinner time so I hit McDonald's on the way home.

I confess....
We got the new Chicken McBites and no one liked them. Way too much breading and not enough chicken. I should have stuck with the regular nuggets. Lesson learned.

I confess....
I let Molly dip her cheeseburger in the sweet n sour sauce. Something I would normally never do, but I was too tired to stop her.

I confess....
Mark got a hair cut yesterday. When we went in I told the lady that I wanted the bottom and front trimmed and that I want his layers to stay long but that they needed a little trim as well.

Before-Super Shaggy

I confess....
She took clippers to his head a shaved a huge chunk of hair off while I was getting his snack. It was too late after that happened so now he has super short hair. It's buzzed to the scalp in the back.

After-Too short

I confess....
I'm so stinkin' ticked off! Only my son has hair and now it's gone. I'm so glad I took the time to explain to the lady exactly what I wanted. Plus he looks so big now :(

I confess....
I'm also annoyed at what a bad job she did. It's one thing to cut it short, it's another to screw it up all together. It's not even and there is a huge bald spot in the back. But I wasn't willing to have her attempt to fix it since I knew that would make it even shorter.

I confess....
My girls are so similar. Molly has now taken to hanging from things just like Isabella did at her age. Only she has no fear and hangs off of unsafe or too high bars and falls down pretty hard.

I confess....
She fell many times trying to hang from the monkey bars. Lucky for her it's a padded floor at Gymboree and her Mommy was there to catch her most of the time.

I confess....
Tonight my husband and I are dumping the kids at my mom's house and we are going on a date. Tonight my kids get to go to my mom's house and spend the night and get spoiled by their Nana and GrandPaul. Brett and I are going on a date. We are using a gift card that he got for Christmas for dinner and then we are going to play it by ear.

I confess....
I'm more excited about waking up without having to deal with kids in the morning than the date. Is that sad or what?

So what are you confessing?

  1. I absolutely understand being more excited about waking up without the kids than the date itself. I am excited myself for tomorrow since I will only have one child and she will then most likely sleep in two extra hours.

  2. I can only dream about going on a date and then being able to follow it up with sleeping in! I would be at least equally as excited as you were, if not more so! :)
