Friday Confessions 1/12/12

I confess....
I took my twins for their two year well check today.

I confess....
They turned two in November.

I confess....
I waited because my crappy insurance company gives me very limited well check benefits and I ran out last summer. So I waited 6 weeks instead of paying cash.

I confess....
I don't feel guilty about. Quite the opposite actually. It was a smart financial move on my part and did I really need to pay $300 to have my child measured? I didn't think so either.

I confess....
Taking all three kids to the doctor is a NIGHTMARE! If you don't believe me, you can take them yourself next time.

I confess....
I bring each of them a tupperware full of snacks to try to keep them happy while we wait for the doctor. The only problem is that Mark doesn't chew eats much faster than the girls and then he wants their food too. They do not like to share.

I confess....
It might be more like a meal sized snack. (cheese, banana, raisins, graham crackers, and cuties that's a snack right?) I don't care though, anything to keep them happy. It works but they meltdown when the doctor comes in. Man, they really hate getting an examination!

I confess....
It might be payback for my childhood. My mom loves to tell me how it took her and the nurse to hold me down so the doctor could look into my ears.

I confess....
I rewarded myself for taking them and returning them home unharmed with a Starbucks. My iced Caramel Macchiato made everything better.

I confess....
The lady at Starbucks thought my kids were so cute (they were being pretty cute by then) that she got them a treat. I thought it was very nice and they were so happy the rest of the way home.

I confess....
I'm so glad we are past the age of having to get a shot at every well check! No more shots until someone turns 5! It will make my visits less stressful.

I confess....
I'm beyond excited about the Texans game on Sunday! Bring on the ole ugly birds, we can take 'em!
