Mommy Anniversary-Revisited

Every now and then I read an old post that just needs to be revisited in my thoughts. Today I read my post about Isabella turning 3 and since she just turned 4 it really cracked me up. So I copied and pasted the post and I'm including my (thoughts from today.)

Yesterday was my 3 year anniversary of becoming a mommy. Holy cow! How on earth has it been three years already? Where did this big kid come from? (that's cute, you thought she was big then?)And by the way if you had told me then that I would have three kids by now I would have laughed my butt off.

So it is a little bittersweet that my Belly turned 3. I'll tackle the sweet part first......
  1. Pre-school starts in the Fall. I am super excited about this! (It is awesome!)
  2. She has a huge personality that is really starting to come out.
  3. She is getting more independent. She can dress herself, put away clothes and toys, clear her dishes, and drink from any cup, and go potty by herself. There are more, but those are the ones I'm most excited about. (I'm still pretty excited about those things. Can you teach the twins?)
  4. She loves to play with Molly and pretend. Super cute! (Super cute still!)
  5. She is a big girl, but still loves to cuddle under a blanket with mommy and watch TV. (Thank you for still doing this at 4, don't ever stop!)
Now for some of the bitter....
  1. Kid you're 3 are you ever going to eat meat? And hot dogs and chicken nuggets don't count. Will this phase ever end??????? (No mom it will never end and Isabella I'll never stop trying so give in already!)
  2. She has a huge personality that is really starting to come out. (Yep it's good/bad kind of thing) (Still is!)
  3. She's starting to give up naps. Noooooooo mommy needs her time. (darn you! It's almost impossible to get you to nap. You will "read" in bed so I get a little quiet time, please don't stop doing that!)
  4. She is getting worse in regards to sharing toys. (Ha! I'd kill to have 3 year old Isabella back when it comes to sharing toys.)
  5. I can no longer say that I have 3 kids under 3. Darn!!! Because 3 kids under 4 just doesn't sound quite as good as 3 under 3. (And three under 5 is nothing special, should have appreciated 3 under 4 all year long.)
Thanks former Allison for the great laugh. I'm sure future Allison will like this post when Isabella turns 5. (Um you think I'm going to let her turn 5. Nope let's put the books on her head so she quits getting bigger...... if only)
