Sibu Beauty Facial Cream Giveaway

Repair & Protect

I live in the desert and the sun and dry heat is not exactly kind to my skin. And the wind and dry climate in the winter is even worse for my skin. I use facial moisturizers twice a day to keep my skin soft and to attempt to keep the wrinkles at bay. So when I was contacted by Sibu Beauty to do a review and giveaway on one of their products, I chose the facial cream.

About Sibu Beauty's Facial Cream

High in the Tibetan Himalayas, 12,000 miles above sea level a tiny but resilient fruit named sea buckthorn grows. Sea buckthorn contains over 190 bioactive compounds and is an unsurpassed source of Omegas 3, 6, and 9. And it's a rich source of the elusive essential fatty acid Omega-7, an essential fatty acid vital to collagen production and healthy skin, hair and nails. Sea buckthorn is a natural product with 1300 years of traditional uses with the modern scientific research to back it up its claims.

The facial cream can be used on all skin types and it is paraben-free and cruelty-free, and contains no dairy, yeast, wheat, gluten, sodium or preservatives.

My Opinion

I've been using the facial cream for almost three weeks now. The first thing that I noticed was the slight citrus scent. I normally don't like to use moisturizers that are scented since strong smells tend to give me a headache, but this smell didn't give me a headache.

The first time I applied on the lotion and my skin got a little tight. It almost felt like it was firming my skin after the first application. And even though my skin felt tight, it was very soft. I didn't think that it would be so soft since my skin had that dry feeling from being tight. After using the facial cream for a few days, I didn't notice the tightening anymore. I think I got used to the sensation so I wasn't noticing it anymore.

My husband who doesn't pay attention to new products in our house unless he's using them did notice a difference in my skin. He asked me if I had gotten a tan since my skin was looking better. That is a first in our 10 years together so that compliment alone made me a believer in this product.

The only thing that I didn't like about the product was that it didn't have any sunscreen in it. With such a high burn index in Las Vegas, I do prefer having sunscreen built into my moisturizer so I can combine two steps into one. But I like the way my skin looks and feels so I'm willing at add in another step to my morning routine.
