Father's Day Fun

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day. We had a nice and relaxing day. I made Brett some bacon pancakes for his special Father's Day breakfast. (AKA one of the few times a year we eat breakfast as a family) He loved them, and really what's not to love since bacon was involved.

Then we went to church and yes, I tortured my family with another family photo.

After church we went to Rubios for some nachos and fish tacos. This is a picture of my girls drinking their salsa. I never got a good one of the actually drinking the salsa. Stupid slow camera, I really need a new one.

After naps we headed up to Mt. Charleston to enjoy the cooler weather. Since it was 106 in Vegas and 74 up there, we called it a GREAT idea. It felt awesome up there and the kids loved getting to run around. We all climbed up a tall mountain (according to Isabella, but it was really a steep hill) and the kids collected sticks.

Mark kept handing me his sticks when he found a bigger one.
Check out the one he ended up with!

Seriously, how beautiful is it up there?

Molly rolling down a hill. Yep she was covered in dirt after that.

I saved my favorite pictures for the end. I was trying to take a picture of Molly and I turned around and saw my guys having a conversation.

And then they noticed me spying and were nice enough to pose for me.

We had a great low key day. Just what the doctor ordered!

  1. Where do you go when you go up there? We always look for great places to hang out but never seem to find one we like.

    1. We go to the Lee Canyon side. There is a big meadow that is usually pretty empty. Sunday was the most crowded we've ever seen it with 10 families there. But we had tons of space to ourselves.
