Summer Confessions

Photobucket
I confess....
We have survived the second week of summer. Now that there isn't preschool to break up the week, I'm keeping the kids on a more regular schedule. Including daily art and craft time. Yesterday the kids played with play dough for 1 hour, it was AWESOME!

We color sorted fruit loops-snack, math, and art.

Fine motor activity-glue beads onto heart shape

I confess....
The new schedule is keeping the kids busy, happy, and away from the TV. It's also making the morning run a little smoother.

I confess....
But today we threw the whole schedule out the window and met a friend at McDonald's. Sometimes you just need to mix things up and catching up with a friend was a fun morning for me and the kids.

I confess....
And this is how our two year olds decided to play. The four year olds got in the mix for a second but they were more interested in playing.

I confess....
Isabella disappeared from the driveway and this is what I found when I went to look for her.

Yep that is my daughter "reading" the phone book that was delivered that morning. Personally, I can't believe that we still get a phone book. Who uses a phone book?

I confess....
We had two days of cool weather this week.We stayed outside all day excepts naps. The temperature went from 108 to 84 in 4 days. Have no fear, we are back to triple digits again. I hate Vegas summers.

I confess....
Molly tried on Daddy's shoes yesterday. How cute is this kid? I have a plan for this picture.

I confess....
There is a fly in my house that is driving me NUTS! It wants to be right by me and I can't kill it. Flies are beyond annoying.

I confess....
My kids love to be outside. And they only want to be in the front yard lately which means I have to be out front with them. I dragged the broken water table out front so they can splash mommy's legs to keep me cool. My kids are obsessed with filling their play cups with water and wetting Daddy's tire. I don't get it but it keeps them happy so I go with it.

I confess....
I promise this is the last picture. Molly decided to take a drink from the hole in the middle of the water table. She cracks me up!

I confess....
It took me 90 minutes to make my shopping list for this week. But I have over $30 in coupons so I've decided that it was time well spent.

What are you confessing this week?

  1. I confess...as much as I love summer, I really don't like having my kids at home all day everyday. They just fight and tattle and don't want to help me without giving me attitude. UGH!

  2. I love a good couponing week. Really, what is the point of a phone book anymore? The only time I use one is when the internet/power goes down, and I need to look the number up and call to report an outage.

Thanks for linking up and have a fabulous weekend!

  3. Those pictures are so stinking cute!!! Love Molly drinking from the table :)

As for the fly, once when I was cleaning windows a fly was bugging me so I squirted it with cleaner. Then the fly couldn't fly so I could easily kill it. Ever since then if there are flies around I get out the window cleaner to help get rid of them. Might be worth a try if it's still bugging you.

How awesome is it that you have $30 in coupons?! So jealous. I wasn't so lucky this week, but Meijer had good 10 for $10 deals.

  4. Fruit Loop sorting and beads = awesome! Mine are just about to turn two. I'm not sure they would "get" sorting just yet. I don't know. Having taught 2nd graders for... a long time... I feel pretty stupid with my kids and understanding where my two year olds are/should be developmentally.

Our water table is called a "tropical island" and has all kinds of toys and squirty things on it. What do mine like to do? Dump water on the ground. Haha! I don't get it either, but ok. :)

Go you, with the coupons! That's awesome!
