Faith and Other Flat Tires Book Review and Giveaway

My husband calls me his little book worm. He means it in an endearing way, but I'm still not very thrilled with the description. But I do have to admit that he has a point and that I would rather read than do most other activities. I got the book Faith and Other Flat Tires to review and a copy to give away to one of my lucky readers.

Faith and Other Flat Tires is a memoir of the author Andrea Pappany Dilley's life. Andrea had a very unique upbringing living in Kenya where her parents were Quaker missionaries. It was in Kenya that her faith took root. When her family moved to Washington, Andrea struggled to adjust into American culture, even though she was an American. Her faith continued to grow until she reached her early twenties and then she abandon her Christan upbringing for the secular world.

It was in this time that Andrea really began to question the world and her faith. And unlike so many memoirs about losing and finding faith, Andrea really dives into the struggles she had and still continues to have. I think that is the best part of the book for me, that she is unafraid to speak about her doubts.

This book is very personal, yet you will find yourself relating to her. I think Christians and non-Christians can relate to the questions that Andrea asks herself and faith.

One lucky reader will win a copy of this book. Contest is open to US and Canadian residents. Only entries on the Rafflecopter form will count.
