Pee at Burger King Confessions

Photobucket
I confess....
I took my kids to Burger King today against my better judgement.

I confess....
My kids were playing in the garage and while they were in there I told my mom that I love that they play in there and amazingly enough, they never get into anything while they are in there. My mom said that I just jinxed myself.

I confess....
She was RIGHT! The little stinkers emptied a laundry basket, flipped it upside down, stood on it and got out the Popsicles. The three of them ate 4 each! And they were going for more when I caught them.

I confess....
And while they were misbehaving, Molly peed in her pants.

I confess....
Molly has had more accidents this week that successes. It's beyond frustrating and she's driving me nuts.

I confess....
So against my better judgement, I cleaned them up and took them to Burger King. I justified this move since I'm tired. Yep that's how I justified it! You didn't think there was real logic behind the decision did you?

I confess....
Things were going well. The kids played and ate their lunch. We were there for 45 minutes when a little girl came over to her mom and said that the slide was wet. I wanted to pretend that I didn't hear her, but I had a sneaky suspicion about the wet slide.

I confess....
I looked over and saw that Molly had an accident. AGAIN! Exactly 70 minutes after the last accident.

I confess....
I was beyond embarrassed when I had to tell the other moms about the accident on the slide. They didn't hide their disgust towards me very well. Which ticked me off since every mom who has potty trained a child has dealt with an accident at one point or another. Then I got to tell the Burger King employee that my kid peed on the slide. He didn't hide his disgust for me at all. Whatever dude, you'll totally remember how rude you were to me one day when you're a parent.

I confess....
I may have a heart attack if she doesn't stop this nonsense. How can a child stay dry at nap and during the night for 11 hours, but has two accidents in 70 minutes?

I confess....
I really don't know what to do with her. I'm open to any suggestions other than diapers.

Don't believe anything my mom says about me, I'm cute.

  1. She might be having so much fun that she doesn't want to stop having fun to go potty. Since she is still "newish" with the potty training part I would just make a habit every 15-20 minutes to make her stop what she is doing and go potty do that a few times and she might get the point, I hope for you at least!

  2. Oh potty training . . . it's the WORST! With G we had a timer {that he got to push the buttons on of course, because that's what made it fun in his mind}. I think we set it for 60 minutes. When the timer went off he had to sit on the potty for 5 minutes {he got to set the timer and turn it on and off}. It worked well for him. All kids are so different though.
