Out of the Closet Confessions

I confess....
I normally don't turn on the TV in the morning since I can't handle the noise. But this morning I turned on the news and saw all the turmoil in the middle east. It was not a good way to start my day.

I confess....
I cannot express my disgust and heartbreak over this situation.

I confess....
A few days ago my girls were too quiet in their room. You know this wasn't a good sign.

That would be my girls standing on the top shelf of their closet. Yep they climbed the shelves of the closet taking off all the toys on their way up and then took off the toys at the stop of the shelf.

I confess....
Brett was home so he got to deal with this mess. It took the girls an hour to clean up the mess they made. They took almost every single toy out of the closet!

I confess....
I have no idea how they could make that big of a mess without making any noise. I guess I'll have to go back in time and ask my preschool self to find the answer to that question. (My mom is laughing right now since she knows which parent my kids get this from.)

I confess....
I had a very busy week and somehow we had something planned every morning and some evenings and afternoons too. How does this happen?

I confess....
Tonight is date night and we are doing something very low key. We are going to get a sub for dinner and have a picnic in the backyard. With our busy week, we haven't had as much time to spend together and we just want to have time to talk.

I confess....
The upside to this low key date night is that it's going to cost $5. See you don't have to spend a lot of money to date your spouse.

I confess....
My son and oldest daughter are refusing to nap so I'm going to get them up. I don't know about your kids but mine are worse with a mini nap than no nap.

What are you confessing this week?

  2. I love that date night idea.

And the mess in the girls' room....I don't have kids yet, but I think we would have had a lesson with a donation box...you know to help the kids whose families don't have money for toys.

Thanks for linking up! It looks like Friday Confessional will be hanging out on my blog for the next couple weeks until Mamarazzi gets back from her break. Hope you've had a fabulous weekend so far.
