High Calling E-Newsletter Review

I love reading spiritual books. I find them so inspirational and they help me grow in my faith. But as a busy mom of three little ones, it takes me a very long time to read a book these days. It's one of the reasons that I love reading blogs, I can read a post in one sitting without loosing my train of thought. I got a chance to review The High Calling E-Newsletter which is filled with Biblical articles and references.

The E-Newsletter comes in daily or weekly according to your preference. There are many articles in each e-newsletter.  On their site, you’ll find a broad range of articles, interviews, devotionals, and inspirational stories.  Each section is designed to help you find God in your life. Here are some of the resources you'll receive by becoming a member of the High Calling community.

  • Daily Reflections—a short Bible study every day by scholar and theologian Mark D. Roberts.
  • Weekly Calling—summary of best content from the previous week
  • Quarterly Sermon Notes—each quarter a new set of three outlines that can be adapted for sermons or bible classes.
    My Opinion
I really liked having one place to go to read different articles on living out your faith. I found several articles in just the first two newsletters that I read that interested me. There was once in particular that talked about the history of the family and work. It was very thought provoking and really got me thinking about how much the family has changed over the last 200 years.
I opted for the weekly e-mails since I get way too many emails everyday and I know that I'll never open a daily email. But I won't feel overwhelmed getting something once a week. And I like the my newsletter is easy to browse through the titles and a brief introduction so I can click what I want to read and skip over the rest. I also enjoy the comment section and that from what I saw the comments are positive. There is nothing worse than being part of an online forum where most of the people are negative.
Now are you ready for the best part? The newsletter is free! You just need to sign up and create an account. If you are a blogger, you can add a badge to your site and join their community! I signed up after looking at the second newsletter that I was sent to review. I'm looking forward to being part of the community and reading some great faith based articles. I think you'll enjoy being part of The High Calling community as well.
