Crock Pot Confessions

I confess....
Dinner is in the Crock Pot and it smells so good.

I confess....
I really have a love/hate relationship with my Crock Pot. I love that dinner is done in minutes with very little work but I hate how hungry the smell makes me all afternoon.

I confess....
This video of Isabella is exactly what I love about her. She has such a cute and quirky personality.

I confess....
She was doing the up and down with the foot action going for 2 minutes before I could get the video going.

I confess....
It's going to be very cold here this weekend. For those of you who live where it is actually cold you're going to laugh at me. But when it's below freezing for 5 nights in a row, it's way too cold for my comfort.

I confess....
I'm really looking forward to Sunday afternoon. I think I'm going to make soup or chili in the Crock Pot so I don't have to worry about dinner and so I can really enjoy the football game. Go Texans!

I confess....
I would love a new Crock Pot soup recipe. Please share a recipe if you have one.

I confess....
My son is in his room calling for me. I'm ignoring him since it's nap time and he is not a kid who can skip a nap. At least he can't skip a nap without me wanting to rip all my hair out by dinner time.

I confess....
I read Meagan's post on The Clanhan Fam before I started writing today. It really struck a cord with me on how unfair parenting can seem at times.

I confess....
I should have gotten my son out of bed, he woke up his twin. This is going to be an interesting evening for my husband and I.

What are you confessing this week?

  1. Aww, thanks for the mention - not an easy boat. But we continue to ride : )

As for crock pot recipes, this is one of my new faves: http://yummyhealthyeasy.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-best-crock-pot-minestrone-soup.html

Soooo yummy. And gina at www.skinnytaste.com has tons of great crock pot recipes as well - easy & very little prep. One of my faves is the santa fe tacos. You prepare it and can have it over rice & lettuce one night & then put it in corn tortillas the next. It's mild enough for the little ones too!

    1. Any time-I really love your post. And thanks for the recipe recommendations! I looked at the weather today and it's going to be 38 degrees on Sunday so I am 100% sure I'm making soup.

  2. Eeek. Do I really have to confess? OK, well, I confess that I'm already cheating on my diet. :s Shhhhh!

Anyway, I too love cooking with the crockpot. I try to use it on days where I'll be out of the house in its last hours.

    Stopping by from SITS. :)

    1. Hey at least you're trying to diet. I know better since I have a personality flaw that makes me instantly crave whatever if off limits.
