Confession - My Son is Testing my Unconditional Love

I confess....
This week pretty much sucked. When I was a kid summer meant fun, carefree days. And now that I'm an adult it means days on end with no school relief in sight. Wait, when did I get old?

I confess....
I've really enjoyed the carefree days until this week. I've convinced the kids to sleep in until 7 again. And holy cow getting to sleep until 7 has been wonderful! Sleeping in until 7 is a luxury unheard of during the school year. Wait, when did I get old?

I confess....
But this week Brett brought home a lovely little stomach bug. My kids haven't learned that stomach cramping means you need to try to go to the bathroom. I'll spare you the details just know that the clean up killed my spirit.

I confess....
In addition to this stomach bug that all 5 of us got in 4 days Mark has decided that he wants to test my unconditional love for him once again. He is waiting until nap time, pooping in his diaper, and then smearing it into the carpet, walls, bed, dresser, and play kitchen.

I confess....
I'm more than annoyed with Mark right now.

Who me? With my sweet innocent face?

I confess....
I call this video don't so the crime if you can't do the time. It was taken yesterday.

I confess....
My son hates the sound of the carpet cleaner. He thinks it's too loud and calls it the scary machine. I made him clean it up thinking that he'll won't do it again since the punishment was so severe. That make sense right? Totally logical right?

I confess....
I was wrong, he did it again today. I'm thinking about running away from home now.

I confess....
As if the cleaning up poop isn't bad enough, Mark dropped my ring down the drain today. This is how it went down.

  1. He had the ring in his hand.
  2. I asked him to hand it to me.
  3. He looked at me and smiled his devilish smile and dropped the ring in the sink.
  4. And then I saw the plunger in his other hand.
I confess....
I was so mad I had to send him out of the room. Thankfully the ring was stopped by the 6 bobby pins the kids shoved down the drain. My husband was able to come home from work and pull it out. I'm still not over  it.

I confess....
Next week is VBS and the kids are going to be gone for 3 hours everyday next week. I think we all need the break. Something tells me that they need to get away from them as much as I need to be away from them.

I confess....
On a funny note, my kids love to wrestle. On Wednesday while the girls were "napping" they decided to wrestle. About an hour later Isabella emerged with a black eye. She didn't even notice it! I asked Molly what happened and she said she hit Molly for fun. Later Brett got the full scoop, they were wrestling and they bonked heads.

What's up Popeye?

I confess....
Her eye makes me sad, but that face cracks me up! My poor kiddo!

What are you confessing this week?
