Review Post October - December

I am partying it up today on New Year's Eve. Try not to be jealous but I got to take my kids to the doctor today for a strep test. Isabella's test came back positive on Monday afternoon and since the twins were sick too they need to be tested today. They think the kids are just passing it back and forth and that is the reason why it keeps coming back. I think when your New Year's Eve includes two strep tests, you really know how to party.

At least all the kids are napping today so this seems like the perfect day to reflect on the last three months. Although I didn't blog much in December so that month should be pretty easy.

In October we went back to Vegas for my brother's wedding. It was fabulous and sad at the same time. I hate how far away we are from our family now but it was great getting to see everyone.

I finally figured out a foolproof way to get my preschooler to nap. There is nothing worse than a kid who doesn't want to nap but cannot make it to bedtime without one.

I shared my recipe for Slow Cooker Chili Colorado and Spicy Refried Beans. This meal appears on my table often. I made again last week and just thinking about it makes me want to make it again.

I climbed up on my soapbox and wrote about Why Mother Isn't a Competition. I hit a few nerves with this one with some of my twin mom friends. I'm not going to lie, I didn't care that I upset them.

After four years I was finally ready to write about the birth of my twins. I was amazed to hear from so many people who related to Not All Birth Stories are Happy, I've never had anyone relate to my experience before. I really wish no one did though.

I pretty much out right ignored this blog in December. I didn't make the time and quite frankly, I wanted to take a little break. Of course I did a recap of January - June and July -September.

I did post the easiest recipe you will ever make - Baked Cheese Ravioli. My little picky eaters gobble this up without complaint.

Speaking of picky eaters, I reflected on the Importance of Family Dinners after a disastrous dinner this month. I wish I could program my kids to like all the foods that I enjoy.

Happy New Year everyone!
