Got Tangled Hair? Knot Genie to the Rescue!

Several times a day my little Molly and I have a battle over brushing her hair. She cries and screams regardless of how gentle I try to brush her hair. It's partly her own fault too since she can't seem to keep her finger out of her hair when she eats. These hair battle leave me frustrated and her mad at me for insisting on brushing the tangle out of her hair.

There was to be a better way right?

Now we've tried detangler in the past and nothing worked well enough for me to actually continue using the product. Her hair was just a little oily but the brush just didn't go through without pain. Part of the problem is that her hair is fine, coated in syrup or something else sticky, and it's long. We tried a new brush called the Knot Genie to see if this would finally be the answer to our hair tangle problems. I was sent the Knot Genie to facilitate this review, no further compensation was provided.

When the Knot Genie came in the mail the first thing I noticed was it's unique shape. There was no handle, so the brush fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. I also noticed that the bristles were different lengths. My girls liked that their new brush was pink and only for them. It's the little things in life right?

There is a little learning curve with the brush. You need to start at the bottom and work your way up. My husband learned this the hard way when he brushed Isabella's hair after her bath. I heard blood curdling screams coming from the bathroom. I had to show him how to use the brush and then all was good again.

Overall, I really like this brush. The brush is easy to hold if you're left handed which is important in my home. Plus, I love that I'm not having to add any detangler to my girls' hair and that we have found a solution to our hair brushing battles. You can purchase a Knot Genie through their US or Canada online stores.

Here is a video that shows the Knot Genie in use. If you've had the same hair battles that we've had, you love the part where the kid runs from her mom when she tries to brush her hair. It reminded me of my girls!
