Looking Great for Date Night with P&G Review and Giveaway

I've written many times on the importance of dating your husband. Partly because I love my husband and there is nothing like us stealing away from the kids for a few hours to reconnect. And partly because I truly do think it's vital to reconnect with your spouse while you're raising kids so you don't drift apart. When we do get a date night out of the house, I want to look my best. I can do that easily with some of the P&G product sample I was sent to facilitate this review as a member of SheSpeaks Blogger Society. All opinions are mine.

I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. You'll never catch me in yoga pants since I hate them. I'm aware that most of my female readers now think I'm crazy. Just to make sure you know that I'm crazy, I also don't like chocolate. Just letting it all hang out there but on date night I like to get dressed up and I actually curl my hair.

Unless we're going to a baseball game and then I'm all for casual date attire.

For my date night I used the CoverGirl line exact eyeliner, outlast nail polish, and flamed out mascara. I will say that I really liked the eyeliner and mascara that was sent to me. I don't normally wear black eyeliner which made my eyes look completely different from my normal routine. My daughters were so cute when they saw me all dolled up, they told me I looked like a princess. That is the highest of compliments from a 6 year old and four year old girl!

I wasn't a huge fan of the nail polish though. The color in the bottle shows a pale pink, but on my nails it looked clear. My husband thought that I used clear nail polish. This is just my preference, but if I'm going to put out the effort to paint my nails, I want to see some color.

Also included in my kit were Crest 3D white strips, Secret Clinical Strength deodorant, Old Spice body wash, and Mr. Clean magic eraser. My husband has used the Old Spice body wash for years and he loves it. He also loves Old Spices' deodorant too which wasn't included. If you have kids and you don't have any Mr. Clean magic erasers I don't know how you clean. They are little miracle workers that get crayon off the walls. Trust me, you will love them!

One of the things that I loved about my kit was that I already use all of the products. Basically I was sent some of my favorite products to use, you have to love that! I like P&G products since they are great quality and also because I get an awesome coupon book every month in my newspaper. I'm a girl that loves to save money on my favorite items! You can buy P&G products at your favorite drug store or mass merchant store and on P&G's website. Currently they are offering free shipping on orders over $25.

You can try out some great P&G too! One lucky winner will receive a sample pack from P&G. You can enter to win on the Rafflecopter form.

  1. Not being married I don't have to worry about dating a spouse. I do know some very happily married couples who make it a point to go on a date once a week.
