Things I Swore I'd Never Do as a Parent

Once upon a time there was a sweet young woman in her twenties that swore she would never do   fill in the blank   once she was a mother. Fast forward 7 years and meet the lady who has learned the meaning of letting things go.

The lady who no longer cares if her kids eat off the floor.

Or in the bathroom.

The lady who no longer cares if we arrive to church with the kids in clothes that match. Now the bar is set so low all I care is that they don't arrive places naked.

The lady who takes pictures of her kids' tantrums instead of being horrified by them.

The lady who no longer cares what the neighbors think of her, the kids need a place to yell and scream. It's not going to be inside, do you think she's crazy?

The lady who lets her child play in the backyard in her flower girl dress because the wedding is over and the dress was too expensive to only wear once.

The lady who has learned to ignore how dirty her children get everyday in order to preserve their childhood and her sanity.

The lady who does her kids hair crazy just to make the day a little brighter.

Yep, I was sure I would have kids is cute clean clothes with their hair always neat. My kids would never wake up the neighbors since I wouldn't send them out before 10 on weekends. And of course I would never allow my kids to throw a tantrum in public.

Hahahahaha, what an idiot!

I'm older and it's a toss up between me being wiser or just too tired to care about things that don't really matter.

Anything you swore you would never do once you were a parent?
